Attendance and classroom participation

Use session attendance and activity responses together to build a more useful picture of what happened during a lesson.

Separate presence from understanding

Joining a session indicates presence, not mastery of a concept. Use attendance to follow up on access and absence, then use student explanations and activity responses to discuss learning.

Review the context

A missing response might reflect a connection issue, a device problem or uncertainty about the question. Ask before drawing a conclusion. Keep a practical process for correcting attendance when a student joined through a shared device or needed help.

Use reports for a specific follow-up

Choose a question to investigate: who could not join, which concept needs another explanation, or which group needs support? Review the relevant report with staff who have an appropriate role, rather than circulating student records broadly.

Check reporting during evaluation

Use a sample session to review the information available to teachers and school administrators. Confirm your required report fields and any export needs with the team; do not assume every institutional reporting workflow is included.

Try it with your own lesson
