Control drawing, chat and shared content in WeClassroom

Use teacher controls to decide how students contribute to the board and classroom discussion, and what material the class sees.

By the WeClassroom team

Distinguish the account role from session permissions

A teacher, student and school administrator have different account roles. Inside a session, a teacher can also manage specific participation permissions. Allowing a student to draw does not give that student the teacher's account or administrative access.

Grant and revoke drawing access

Use the participant controls to allow or revoke drawing for selected students, or use the classroom-wide drawing control when appropriate. Tell students what they should add before enabling editing. Review permissions when moving from a group activity back to teacher explanation.

Manage chat and classroom sharing

Classroom controls include managing student chat. Use hand raising and the activity tools to keep contributions organized. Share AI material or student answers only when you intend them to appear in the teaching flow; check the classroom display after a sharing action.

Protect access details and student information

Share the session PIN or QR only with intended participants and keep account credentials private. Avoid adding sensitive student information to public board notes or AI prompts. For institutional questions about data retention and access, review the privacy policy and contact the team rather than assuming a specific arrangement.
