Teaching scenario

Make university sessions more participatory

Build short opportunities for students to explain, answer and discuss during a lecture, seminar or hybrid session.

Start with a lecture segment

Choose one concept that often causes confusion. Ask students to make a prediction before showing the explanation, then compare approaches on the shared board. A focused trial is easier to evaluate than changing every teaching routine at once.

Use discussion in small groups

Give each group a problem, a time limit and a clear expected contribution. Bring selected reasoning back into the main discussion. Explain how students should participate and what work will be discussed before starting.

Evaluate institutional requirements

Review participant capacity, staff roles, network conditions and accessibility needs with the team. If your institution requires an LMS or identity integration, ask for confirmation of that specific workflow rather than assuming compatibility.

Try it with your own lesson

Bring a lesson and your classroom requirements to a WeClassroom walkthrough.
